About Me:
I'm a Canadian that doesn't love hockey like most others here. I'm at a crossroads in my life. Do I give up on my childhood dream for the sake of a stable career with direction towards law and politics?
Do I face the improbability of my dream and call it quits? Or do I continue to inch towards my dream with no forseeable payoff.
I dream of being a soccer player. Playing professionally. I played for over a decade and loved every second of it.
The thing that keeps me going towards that goal (literally) is a vision that I have every day. It's the same vision. I envisage myself exiting the soccer field of a huge stadium, with countless microphones in my face.
All I can think of to do is yell, “Live your dream!”
I believe this is going to happen and that I'm going to make it happen. That is the reason I know I have to go for it. That I know I have to make it happen despite the odds against a 20-something player wanting to begin a soccer career.
A soccer player is who I was meant to be. I can feel it inside of me. It's demanding of me to achieve my potential.
Right now the walls seem like they're closing in on me and I was starting to lose hope for a while.
My family can't be there for me, they don't understand why I go towards this goal when I could finish school and get a job..
What you should know about me is that I'm a very passionate person. I try to be as honest as possible. I try to live life with a sense of energy and enthusiasm that drives me forward.
I talk when I should listen. I can be a lot to deal with. But my heart is in the right place. I believe in helping people I have never met because I believe in the concept of fundamental justice.
That everyone deserves to have a comfortable place to sleep, to be able to feed themselves.
Most importantly, I think everybody deserves to be loved. I think a lot of the bad things in the world happen because people forgot the importance of being loved by another.
We can prevent many atrocities by being the good people full of potential that we were meant to be.
By the way, I live in York Region, slightly north of Toronto in Ontario.
